Approve, by motion, the purchase of two 2021 Hybrid Ford Police Interceptor SUV’s, one 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe
4x4 PPV, and two 2021 Chevrolet Traverses, with further authorization to set-up and equip the vehicles.
Background/Discussion
Two Ford Police Interceptor SUV’s for the Patrol Division, two detective cars, and one administration car for the
Administration Division were scheduled for replacement and budgeted for in the Equipment Replacement Fund.
The requested approval for each 2021 Hybrid Ford Police Interceptor SUV includes:
2021 Ford Hybrid Police Interceptor SUV - $37,110.24 (state contract pricing)
Emergency vehicle equipment/outfitting - $12,000
Cameras and radar - $4,000
Computer technology - $4,000
Command cabinet - $1,400
The requested approval for the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 PPV includes:
2021 Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 PPV – 38,909.26
Emergency vehicle lighting/outfitting - $6,000
Command cabinet - $2,000
The requested approval for each 2021 Chevrolet Traverse LS includes:
2021 Chevrolet Traverse LS - $27,815.20
Emergency vehicle lighting/outfitting - $8,000
Command cabinet - $2,000
Financial Impact
$240,000 has been budgeted in the 2021 Equipment Replacement Fund.
