Elk River – Furniture and Things Community Event Center
Initial proposal for branding
Goals:
• To create custom graphics to the needs of the Furniture and Things
Community Event Center by working hand in hand with the
Multipurpose Facility Advisory Commission and staff. To create a
timeless feel, to match the modern amenities of the Furniture and
Things Community Event Center.
• Creating a consistent design scheme throughout the facility, yet
keeping each area unique to its environment. Considering
environment elements to include within the graphic scheme, ie: wood
tones/textures throughout already existing in facility.
• Keeping consistent, fonts, colors, and materials.
• Working within proposed budget.
• Proposal of each phase, by priority.
PROPOSAL
Planning & Initial Design
• To include initial site visits & meetings to establish design plan
• Includes design & planning throughout process of project.
• Design manual will be established with fonts, materials & loose plan of specific
areas
o Total proposed hours: 40
o Total proposed site visits: 3
o Total proposed meetings with City of Elk River or anyone else with input
on final design: 3
• $16,000
• This amount will be invoiced upon acceptance of proposal
Proposed phases:
Phase 1: Branding Lobby/Entrance
• Welcoming signage of mounted lettering & logo in entrance of building.
• Frosting of windows into rink, with graphic elements.
• Directories, mounted logos & lettering.
• Main office graphics.
Phase 1: Approx. $22,000
(this is an estimate and not a final quote for the production and installation of graphics & signage)
Phase 2: Upstairs/Cafe/Event Room
• To create a community space, featuring scenes of Elk River & history.
• Including acrylic photo sliders, to keep photos recent & up to date.
Phase 2: Approx. $6,000
(this is an estimate and not a final quote for the production and installation of graphics & signage)
Phase 3/4: Hockey Rink 1 (High School rink) & Hockey Rink 2 (Youth rink)
• Mounted lettering, graphics & logos throughout.
• Guest photo opportunity areas.
• To capture the cities dedication to hockey & history of hockey ie: Hockey Day
Minnesota 2014.
• Pro-Athlete display, including jersey display, history mural etc. with room for
expansion.
• Championship displays and or banners.
• Trophy case graphics including mounted lettering, logos, vinyl backgrounds &
photos.
• Door wraps to locker room areas & locker rooms.
• Coaches offices window graphics for privacy.
• Branding in general locker room with signage ie: sportsmanship, standards,
respect etc. to appeal to all athletes and peers.
Phase 3/4: Approx. $30,000
(this is an estimate and not a final quote for the production and installation of graphics & signage)
Phase 5: Details to be determines.
• Fieldhouse
• Senior Community room
• Party room/event room
• Flex room
Phase 5: Approx. $16,000
(this is an estimate and not a final quote for the production and installation of graphics & signage)
Timetable/Procedure:
• Each phase will be unique to its needs.
• Each phase will consist of 1-2 site visits, to measure spaces along with meeting
the facility staff to speak about ideas, wants, needs along with budget.
• Proposed designs to be expected within 1-2 weeks of site visit along with an
estimated cost on the proposed graphics.
• Design changes may take up to, but no longer than 1 week.
• Once designs have been approved, production of graphics can take up to 1-2
months depending on project size.
• Once project has been produced, an install date will be determined on several
factors: Events/availability of the Community Center.
• Availability on KJ Branding’s calendar.
• Install; KJ Branding’s install crew that has also produced the graphics will be
installing it. Depending on size of project install may take several days for
completion.
Payment/Invoicing:
• Initial amount will be invoiced upon agreement: $16,000
Phases/Spaces
• Final plans for each space & phase will be agreed upon before any
production begins
• Upon agreement, 50% of total amount will be invoiced
• Remaining 50% will be invoiced upon completion
