A Resolution of the City of Elk River Approving Notice of Summary
Publication of Ordinance 21-? Amending Chapter #30 - Article III,
Residential Rental Property Standards, of the City of Elk River, Minnesota,
City Code
WHEREAS, on February 4, 2021, the Elk River City Council adopted Ordinance 21- 2
amending Chapter 30, Article III, governing Residential Rental Property Standards of the
Elk River Code of Ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the changes made to the ordinance:
adjust fees for new and renewed rental licenses,
■ reduce inspections for landlords/property management companies in good standing,
streamline the application process,
change payments to online or cashier's check only.
WHEREAS, a copy of the full text of the ordinance is available for inspection by any
person at the office of the Elk River City Clerk, 13065 Orono Parkway, during regular
business hours; and
NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four -fifths
vote, authorizes the publication of the title and summary of Ordinance 21-
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
Christianson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Christianson, Westgaard, Beyer, and Wagner
and the following against: none
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
