RESOLUTION 85-20
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
PURCHASE OF FIRE DEPARTMENT RESCUE EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, Minnesota Law provides that purchases for goods of $15,000 or less may be
purchased by receiving informal quotations; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has received the following quotations for the purchase
of rescue equipment for the City's Volunteer Fire Department:
Bidder
Quotation
Viking Rescue Systems
Metropolitan Fire Equipment
Fire Safety and Communications Corporation
$7,900.00
$8,195.00
$8,941. 00
and,
WHEREAS, the quotations received from Viking Rescue Systems and Metropolitan Fire
Equipment did not include the ram systems as part of their quotation; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River has determined that it is in the
best interests of the City of Elk River to accept the quotation from Fire
Safety and Communications Corporation in the amount of $8,941.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that
the quotation of Fire Safety and Communications Corporation in the amount
of $8,941.00 is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Administrator are
hereby authorized to execute a contract for the purchase of said equipment
from Fire Safety and Communications Corporation.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River this twenty-fourth day of June,
1985.
