Eagle Scout Project Signs

Discussion of Eagle Scout Signs
Recommend, by motion, the Eagle Scout Sign program and design.
Background/Discussion
The Eagle Scout Signs were discussed by the Commission last fall with questions on approval of names
and costs. Volunteer Coordinator Dave Anderson has volunteered to develop the list of all Eagle Scout
projects with a check list showing each Scout approving their name to be placed on a sign. The City
Attorney stated the approval could be as simple as an email reply with a statement authorizing the use of
their name.
Financial Impact
The approximate cost for each Eagle Scout Sign is determined at $35 for each pole, sign, and hardware.
Staff recommends budgeting for this in 2021 and then making it a part of all future Eagle Scout projects.
