Rather than schedule a special meeting, staff is proposing conducting the orientation at the March 9, 2021 Regular Commission Meeting. If there are any specific topics or training the commission would like covered, please let staff know. Also, please be sure to bring your Governance Commission Policy ring binger to the orientation as we will be updating any policies that have been added or changed over the past year. • Inserts for the February billings include a promotional flyer for Automatic Bill Payment, and our Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program. Attached are copies of the two bill inserts. • January and February social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: bad home heating habits - saving energy while staying comfortable, sign up for automatic bill pay and receive a $5 credit, ERMU’s EV charging program featuring an affordable time-of-use rate and up to a $500 rebate towards the purchase of an in home EV charger, and several public service announcements such as dates of upcoming commission meetings and holiday business closures. • This month’s featured social media post is The Cost of Doing Nothing: LED Lighting Upgrade. While typically our social media posts are geared more towards our residential customers, we are always looking at ways to educate our commercial customers and earn their attention on social media. This month’s featured post includes a video geared towards businesses that are considering upgrading to LED lighting, but are worried it’s too costly. The video shines a light on how much it costs a business to NOT upgrade. The video link is provided below. • The Communications Department has been busy working on the 2020 Annual Report and anticipates having it completed in time to go out with the March billings. 123 ______________________________________________________________________________ Page 2 of 2 • The Administration Department has been focusing on our records management program and streamlining the organization, storage, and destruction of records; efforts are also being made to transition to paperless/electronic records when feasible.
