DISCUSSION:
• Staff continues to work with Kodet Architectural Group, Ltd. on design elements for the
field services building expansion. This month staff is presenting a construction
management services contract with RJM Construction for commission approval.
• Staff continues to have meetings with T2 Utility Engineers, WSB Engineering, and
MnDOT for the upcoming Highway 169 Redefine project. ERMU has received the Notice
and Order from MnDOT which authorizes us to start obtaining material and contact the
State’s assigned engineer to schedule relocation and/or adjustment work for the water
and electric infrastructure.
• As part of the Highway 169 Redefine project, the electric department is working with
Great River Energy on a plan to relocate transmission poles that ERMU service lines are
attached to.
• We interviewed for a lineworker last month to fill the opening created by Josh Shoutz
moving up to the lead lineworker position. Blaine Snyder will start Monday, February 8
as an apprentice lineworker.
