SUBJECT: Resolution Acknowledging Contribution to the Elk River Police
Department from Caring Rivers United Way
The Elk River Police Department recently received a donation in the amount of $250.00 from
Caring Rivers United Way to be used for National Night Out.
Attached is a resolution acknowledging Caring Rivers United Ways contribution to the Elk River
Police Department.
Action Requested
It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from Caring Rivers United Way pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the Gty of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Gty of Elk River received a $250.00 donation from Caring Rivers United
Way with the intent it be used by the Elk River Police Department for National Night Out;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the GtyOmncil of the Gtyof Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend Caring Rivers United Way for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the Gty Omncil of the Gty of Elk River this 1st day of August
2005.
