SUBJECT: Discuss Council Worksession Agenda
The draft agenda for the August 8, 2005 worksession is as follows:
5.1. City Council Open Forum
5.2. Discussion on Temporary Signs
5.3. Discussion on the Rental or Lease of City Property
5.4. City Financial Participation with a YMCA Building, and
A. discuss other capital improvement program financial issues, including
but not limited to, reviewing the 2007 Library building project
5.5. Preliminary Discussion on 2006 Budget Issues:
A. general fund revenues
B. personnel additions
C. capital ouday items
D. requested new items/programs
E. call special meeting for either August 22 or 29, 2005
The tentative agenda for the September 12,2005 worksession includes the following:
5.1. City Council Open Forum
5.2. Update on Transportation Projects
5.3. 2006 Budget (maximum tax levy needs to be certified to the county by
September 15, 2005)
The October 10 worksession is scheduled to be the joint meeting with all city boards and
commissions at Lions Park Center.
Another topic that will be coming to the City Council, either in place of the transportation
issue in September or at the November worksession, will be an update on the East Elk River
urban services expansion proposal.

Additionally, whenever a light Council worksession is on the horizon, it can always be filled
with some topics that we have been flexible with, such as the update on the Human
Resources function of the city and the role of the City Council; Wellness program-update on
recent changes; status of the tree ordinance; etc.
