SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL
MONDAY, JULY 25, 2005

Mayor Klinzing, Councilmembers Dietz, Motin, Farber, and Gumphrey
Members Absent:
None

1. Call Meeting To Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council was called
to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Klinzing.
2.
Interview Candidates for Community Development Director Position
The following candidates were interviewed by the City Council:
· R. Michael Leek, Community Development Director with the City of Shakopee
· Steve Rohlf, Building and Environmental Administrator with the City of Elk
River
· Scott Clark, Community Development Director with the City of Arden Hills
The Council discussed the selection process and decided that they as a group were not
prepared to make a final selection for the Community Development Director position at
this time. Greg Albrecht, Sathe Executive Search, indicated that the reference checks on all
three candidates should be completed and available before the end of the week. The City
Council indicated that it would like to review this information and hopefully make a
selection for the Community Development Director position on Monday, August 1, 2005.
The Council agreed to recess the regular August 1 City Council meeting and reconvene in
Upper Town Conference Room for the discussion and decision on a Community
Development Director.
3. Adjournment
There being no further business, Mayor Klinzing adjourned the meeting of the Elk River
City Council at 10:33 p.m.
