Discuss a date, time, meeting length, and topics to consider.
Background/Discussion
The City Council typically meets in a special meeting each April with department directors to review and discuss
the Council’s mission, vision, and goals for the city.
Due to the pandemic, the meeting was pushed back to June 22. The meeting included discussions of the role of
city council, property tax levels, communication, customer services and compliance along with goal setting and
visioning. Previous meetings included personality characteristic tests, code enforcement and housing standards,
and SWOT Analysis.
Annual retreats have typically been facilitated by the city administrator. The council could consider utilizing a
consultant for all or part of the retreat.
