RESOLUT I ON 85-65
RESOLUTION REOUESTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
TO MAINTAIN THE REST AREA ON HIGHWAY 10 BETWEEN ELK RIVER
AND ANOKA AS A YEAR AROUND FACILITY
WHEREAS,
there is a significant amount of traffic
between Elk River and Anoka created
participating in year around recreational
the state of Minnesota, and;
on highway 10
by persons
activities in
WHEREAS, it is important to the promotion of tourism in Minnesota
to maintain rest areas on a year around basis, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River believes it is
in the best interest of the citizens and tourists in the
State of Minnesota to maintain a year around rest area
on Highway 10 between Elk River and Anoka.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that the Minnesota Department of
Transportation is hereby requested to maintain the rest
area on Highway 10 between Elk River and Anoka on a year
