RESOLUTION 86-38
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, Tyler Street and Smith Street from County Road 13 to
County Road 33 are included in the Elk River portion of
the MSA system; and,
WHEREAS, these roads are heavily traveled by vehicular and
bicycle traffic; and,
WHEREAS, considering visibility, width of pavement, driveway
entrances and pavement conditions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council as well as the general public, share a
common concern for the safety of those people using the
road;
NOW, ~KjRErORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Minnesota Department of
Highways be requested to conduct a study for the
purpose of determining the proper safe speed limits for
each of the following city streets;
A. Tyler Street from County Road 13 to Smith Street
B. Smith Street from Tyler to County Road 33
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 7th day of July, 1986.
