RESOLUTION 86-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE BID
FOR THE EXTERIOR SHELL AND INTERIOR SUPPORT WALLS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River has accepted
the recommendation from the Elk River Citizen's
Building Committee to finance a $250,000 public works
garage through a lease purchase plan; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that the
public works garage would be bid out in sections with
the first bid referring to the exterior shell and
interior support walls;
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the Staff to proceed with
accepting bids for the exterior shell and interior
support walls for a precast concrete structure; and,
WHEREAS,
sealed bids were received by the City
September 4, 1986 and evaluated in a
Superintendent, Phil Hals, to the
Council dated September 5, 1986; and,
the staff received 12 different bids for either the
entire exterior shell and interior support walls or for
sellected aspects of this structure; and,

. WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, the staff recommends awarding the bid for the public
works garage exterior shell and interior support walls
to the low responsible bidder of Wells Concrete
Products in the amount of $107,550 which was below
staff estimate for this aspect of the public works
garage building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that. the bid for the public works garage
exterior shell and interior support walls be awarded
to the low responsible bidder which is Wells Concrete
Products in the amount of $107,550.
Adopted this 8th day of September, 1986 by the City Council of
the City of Elk River.
