RESOLUTION 86-85
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE
DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. LEROY PIKE
WHEREAS, Mr. Leroy Pike served as street maintenance worker for
the City of Elk River for 24 years and 6 months, from
May 1962 to October 31, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, after working 24 1/2 years, he retired with 2,112 hours
of accumulated sick leave; and,
WHEREAS, Leroy Pike has spent the majority of his time
maintaining the streets and roadways in the City for
the safety and well-being of the citizens; and,
WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks required in his position as
street maintenance worker contributed substantially to
the safety and well-being of the traveling public of
the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS, his service to the community merits the gratitude of
the residents of the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his outstanding service to
the City of Elk River should be recognized and
expressed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River, Minnesota, that on behalf of the residents
of the City of Elk River, the dedicated public service
of Mr. Leroy Pike is hereby recognized and appreciated.
Passed and adopted by the Elk River City Council this 24th day of
November, 1986.
