RESOLUTION 87-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CONDITIONS OF A LIMITED
USE PERMIT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR SUPERVISING A WAYSIDE REST AREA ALONG HIGHWAY 10
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River and the Minnesota Department of
Transportation has discussed the City Obtaining a
parcel of property along Highway 10 from the Department
of Transportation for its use as a wayside rest area;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River reviewed this
proposal on May 12, 1986 and unanimously approved a
motion to accept this property from the Department of
Transportation; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River intends to use the property along
Highway 10 as a Wayside Rest area and accepts
responsibility of the parcel of land; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River desires this piece of property to
improve the aesthetics of the Highway corridor and to
provide a wayside rest area for the traveling public;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River accepts the terms and conditions
of the Minnesota Department of Transportation Limited
Use Permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River in Sherburne County that the Mayor and City
Administrator are hereby authorized to enter into a
limited use permit with the Department of
Transportation for a triangle shaped parcel of land on
the south side of Highway 10 lying East of Morton
Street.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 6th day of April, 1987.
