Background/Discussion
At the March 1, 2021, City Council Work Session,the Council directed staff to request a proposal for an
additional small area plan for downtown to include as a chapter in the final Comprehensive Plan. At the March
15, 2021, City Council meeting,they discussed the cost and decided the Housing and Redevelopment Authority
could discuss and develop a plan to move this forward.
Tonight, staff is looking for direction from the HRA on how they would like to proceed and confirm the next
steps.

The goal of the HRA is to improve existing housing stock by offering incentives or programs to repair and
maintain residential properties.
