RESOLUTION 87- 42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Elk River has
acknowledged the need for additional police services
and has authorized the hiring of an additional full
time licensed police officer, and;
WHEREAS, until this additional police officer is hired by the
City of Elk River, the City Council has authorized the
use of full time licensed police officers to work for
the City of Elk River in a part time capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River, Minnesota that on July 27, 1987, the City
Council does hereby declare that the positions held by
David Hurd, Jeffrey Beahen and Steven Knutson are that
of a "Police Officer" as defined in Minnesota Statutes,
Section 353.64 Subdivision 2, pursuant to which said
employee shall become a member of the Public Employee
Retirement Association Police and Fire Fund.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 27th day of July, 1987.
