A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE
TO THE MUNICIPAL STATE AID REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is considering a Municipal State Aid
improvement project on Main Street (MSAS #113); and
WHEREAS, part of the consideration in the design of the improvement
will be sidewalk width in the downtown area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of El k
River, Minnesota.

1. The City of Elk River, hereby, requests a variance to Minnesota
Department of Transportation State-Aid Operations requirement 8820.9916
Minimum Design Standards for 45 Degree and 60 Degree Diagonal Parking.
2. Specifically, the City of Elk River requests a variance to reduce the
traffic isle width for 45 Degree Diagonal parking with a present ADT of
over 3000 from 25.2 feet to 22.2 feet.
Passed and adopted this 31st day of August, 1987.
