Arena Commission Meetings
i\t the i\ugust 2, 2005 Ice Arena Commission meeting, discussion took place in regards to tlle
i\.ugust Ice .L~ena C01l11nission meetings conflicting \vith National Night Out every year. ..t\t dlat
meeting, the Ice Arena Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the dates of dle Ice
.i\rena Commission meetings be changed from the first Tuesday of .l\pril at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall
and the first Tuesday of _August at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall to the second Tuesday of .l\pril at 6:00
p.m. at City Hall and the second Tuesday of August at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
Action Requested
It is requested that the :iYfayor and City Council adopt the attaclled resolution amending resolution
96-96 establishing the Ice Arena Commission meetings.

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 96-96 ESTABLISHING
THE ICE ARENA COMMISSION MEETINGS
WHEREAS, dle Elk Ri~ler City Council adopted Resolution 96-96 establishing dle Ice l\rena
Commission meetings for the first Tuesday of ..:\.pril, 6:00 p.m. at City Hall and tlle
first Tuesday of i\ugust, 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, -with additional meetings being l1eld at
dle call of tlle Chair or at the request of two other COlnmissioners; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 2005, the Ice Arena Commission 'voted unanimously to cl1ange tlleir
regular meeting days from tile first Tuesday of ..:\pril and tile first Tuesday! of _August
to the second Tuesday of i\pril and tile second Tuesday of ..L\ugust; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-255 of tlle Elk Ri,Ter City Code calls for tlle City Council to establisll by
resolution the meeting dates, times, and locations of the Ice ..L\.rena Commission
meetmgs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk Riv'er tllat
dle Elk Riv'"er Ice Arena Commission shall meet on the second Tuesday of April at
6:00 p.m. at City Hall and the second Tuesday of August at 6:00 p.m. at City
Hall, ,vith additional meetings being l1eld at the call of tlle Cl1all or at tlle request of
t\vo otller Commissioners.
