Background/Discussion
Chief Dickinson and recreation staff recently discussed, prior to the recent Icebreaker baseball tournaments,
Emergency Action Plans for potential weather or non-weather-related incidents that may occur during large
scale events at city parks and athletic complexes.
The basic premise is to systematically communicate with the key contacts of the groups hosting the events and
to ensure key city staff contact information is provided. The primary response is to encourage a to call 911 if
anyone feels uncomfortable with a potential incident.
