While they are still working on program details, it’s highly recommended that we reserve rooms for those planning to attend. The tentative schedule can be found on MMUA’s website at: https://www.mmua.org/event/summer-2021. • Per the Governance Policy G.3e General Manager Performance Planning and Evaluation and consistent with Governance Policy G.3d Monitoring Performance of the General Manager, the Commission conducts a formal evaluation of the General Manager during the second quarter of each fiscal year. Theresa Slominski’s performance evaluation will be conducted during a closed session at the June 8, 2021 commission meeting. An email invitation with the link to the performance evaluation will be sent out next week. • The Communications Department has been working on marketing materials and a new page on our website featuring heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) rebates. Flyers to promote the HVAC rebates and a brand new WIFI thermostat rebate will be going out with the May bills. Attached are copies of the bill inserts. • April and May social media posts will feature a variety of topics including: Drinking Water Week, Earth Day – honoring participants of the Clean Energy Choice Program, spring cleaning for energy savings, recognition of the Tom Bovitz Memorial Scholarship Award winner, and announcements such as upcoming commission meeting dates and the water operator career opportunity. • Members of the Administration Department met April 21 to establish a plan and schedule to complete the Governance Policy Manual Initiative. This will involve reviewing the policies that were transferred over during the separation of manuals and updating if necessary, formatting the polices, and creating any new policies that were identified. 283 ______________________________________________________________________________ Page 2 of 2 • Tony Mauren attended the Minnesota Municipal Clerks Institute (MMCI) May 3-7 which was held virtually.
