DISCUSSION:
• City IT staff completed upgrades to the main network and server equipment the week of
April 26. ERMU’s IT Technician was heavily involved in the planning process, and the
success of the project can be attributed to the coordination between ERMU IT and city
IT staff. Staff will now move forward with operating system upgrades to our NISC
servers with a target date of mid-June.
• Staff is in the process of scheduling an Information Security Committee meeting to
review the draft policies and discuss future initiatives. The City IT Manager will be
sending out an email in the near future with more information.
• Due to numerous delays with shipping permits for the power plant transformer, the
transformer finally arrived on May 5. Staff will be working on installation, final testing,
and energization through the week of May 10.
