Action Requested
Appoint, by motion, Craig Keisling or Dennis Booth to the Planning Commission for a term to begin immediately
and expire February 29, 2024.
Background/Discussion
Brad Thiel recently submitted his resignation from the Planning Commission. Per the Advisory Board and
Commission Policy, applications will be kept on file for one year and if a vacancy occurs during the year, the
Council may make an appointment from the applications on file.
There were three applications on file from the most recent recruitment in February. Staff contacted each of the
applicants to see if they were still interested in being considered in serving on the Planning Commission. Dennis
Booth and Craig Keisling expressed an interest in being considered for appointment. Josh Hassing declined. Mr.
Booth and Mr. Keisling both interviewed before the Council at the February 1 meeting.
Work is still being done on the process for interviewing and selection of advisory board members and will come
back to Council at a future meeting.
