Action Requested
Approve,by motion, the attached resolution finding the sale of Pinewood Golf Course to be consistent with the
Elk River Comprehensive Plan.
Background/Discussion
In Early 2021 the City Council solicited proposals for the sale of Pinewood Golf Course. The city received two
proposals and Council chose a proposal submitted by Jennifer Abrahamson,Trevor Birdsall, and Adrienne
Thompson. The approved proposal and the proposed sale documents provide that Pinewood will continue to be
operated as a golf course after the sale. The Comprehensive Plan guides the property for Open Space, which
includes public and private recreation and open space uses.
The sale is scheduled to be finalized later this year, and staff asks the Planning Commission to consider a
resolution finding that the continued use of the property, currently used as Pinewood Golf Course,is consistent
with the Comprehensive Plan.
