Provide staff with direction regarding city-initiated street extensions.
Background/Discussion
City street extensions are typically done as part of a proposed development and funded by the developer or as part
of a city-initiated development project. However, some connections may need to occur prior to the development
goals of the property owner and require city funding.
Staff will present the outline for city-initiated roadway connections through right-of-way purchase, condemnation,
and funding; and seek direction for future road connections that benefit the community beyond the impacted
parcels.
