Field Services Facility Expansion Project Update
ACTION REQUESTED:

BACKGROUND:
RJM Construction continues to work on planning, site clearing, and scheduling items.
DISCUSSION:
Crews have been working on site clearing during the weeks of May 24 and June 1. We have
received a few comments from neighbors in the area and we are working with them to address
concerns. The schedule has a break in activity until June 21, with the major excavation work
starting that week.
The title search for the Field Services Facility properties showed that the City of Elk River and
Village of Elk River own portions of the property. We expect City Council to approve a quit-claim
deed for the two portions that were identified in the title search. Following execution of the
quit-claim deed, the recommendation is that ERMU assign all of the portions to itself to
conform to the proposed final plat previously approved by the City of Elk River; this will be
accomplished through an additional quit-claim deed and final plat to be filed with the county.
Attached are updated renderings showing the views on all 4 faces of the building as well as the
perspective from the corner of Main Street.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Field Services Facility Expansion project is scheduled for
June 14 at 2:00 p.m.
