DISCUSSION:
• In May, the locators processed 576locate tickets. These consistedof 2 emergency
tickets, 483 normal tickets, 2 non-excavation tickets, 1 boundary survey, 3 corrections,
54 updated tickets, 14 cancellations, and 14 locate meets. This resulted in a 3.2%
decrease in tickets from the previous month and an 15.9% decrease from the prior year.
• Electrical technicians completed 151 service order tasks, updated the power bill,
performed weekly substation checks, attended to customer meter issues and off-peak
concerns.
• On May 26, staff ran engines #3 and #4 without any issues. Engines #1 and #2 were not
run again this month. The replacement inspection cover gaskets were received and
installed the following day. We will test run generator #1 the second week of June to
verify installation and configuration of the transformer and recloser equipment.
• Technical services staff assisted the water department with the flushing of about 1230
hydrants during the week of May 10.
• Mapping department staff has completed the mPower Integrator software
implementation. We are working through developing a roll-out of the software for field
crews to utilize on their iPads. Staff is also updating the mapping application in
preparation for hydrant flushing the week of May 10.
• The substation apparatus technician completed installation of relaying and
communications equipment in the power plant during the week of May 10. The new
transformer was energized on Friday, May 14, restoring power to the plant.
