DISCUSSION:
Delivered three new water meters.
Sealed the water meter, installed an encoder receiver transmitter,and took curb stop
ties from three water services.
Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples
o All confirmed negative for coliform bacteria
o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Reportsubmitted to the MDH
Completed 20 routine fluoride samples
o All samples met MDH standards
o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report
o Completed one MDH validation fluoride sample
Submitted Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the Diesel Generation Plant to the
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
Hydrant flushing went well the week of May 10. With the help of technical servicesstaff,
it took five days to complete.
A job offer was made and accepted for thevacantWater Operatorposition, their start
date is scheduled for June 10.
Verizon Wireless has completed installation of their equipment on Freeport Water
Tower.
A public information meeting for our Well Head Protection Plan amendment was held
on May 26. No one expressed any concerns.

Two four-inchwatermain stubs along 5 Street and Highway 10 were discovered by
MNDOT’s contractor while installing storm sewer pipe along the highway. The stubs
were cut shorter and capped to make room for the storm sewer. The cost of that work
will be added to the water main work that is already being done for that project.
