AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 902.02
(FLOODP AIN MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE-GENERAL PROVISIONS)
SUBSEC ION 2 (ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFICIAL ZONING MAP)
The City Cou cil of the City of Elk River does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. That Section 902.02 (2) of the Elk Rivet' Code
of Ordinances titled "Establishment of Official Zoning Maptl be
amended to re d as follows:
2. Establis ment of Official Zoning M~ The official
Zoning Map t gether with all materials attached thereto is
hereby adopte by reference and declared to be a part of this
Ordinance. The attached material shall include the Flood
Insurance Stu y for the City prepared by the Federal Insurance
Administratio dated February 19, 1992 and the Flood Insurance
Rate Map dat d February 19, 1992. The official Zoning Map
shall be on f'le in the Office of the City Clerk.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after the date of its publication.
Passed and ad pted by the City Council of the City of Elk River
this 24th day of February, 1992.

STATE APPROY OF FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE AND AMENDMENTS
The Dep tment of Natural Resources has completed its review
of the floodplai zoning ordinance and amendments for the City of
Elk River. The 0 dinances were entitled ORDINANCES NO. 91-4
adopted on Feb uary 25,1991, 92-5 adopted on February 24,1992,
and 94-1 7 ado ted on October 17, 1994.
On behalf of the Commissioner of Natural Resources, I am
pleased to info you that the ordinances have been found to be in
compliance wit "Statewide Standards and Criteria for Management
of Floodplain eas of Minnesota," Minnesota Regulations, Parts
6120.5000 to 6 20.6200. Therefore, in accordance with Minnesota
Statutes, Sectio 103F, I hereby certify state approval of the above
cited ordinance
Please be dvised that any future amendments of this
ordinance or c ange in the designation of flood prone areas requires
prior approval f the Commissioner.
