SUBJECT: Resolution Acknowledging Contribution to the Elk River Police
Department from Wal-Mart
The Elk. River Police Department recently received a donation in the amount of $1,000.00 from
Wal- Mart to be used for National Night Out.
Attached is a resolution acknowledging Wal- Mart's contribution to the Elk. River Police
Department.
Action Requested
It is requested that Mayor and Council adopt the attached resolution acknowledging the monetary
contribution from Wal-Mart pursuant to Minnesota State Statute 465.03.

RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING
CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER
WHEREAS, the Gty of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Gty of Elk River received a $1,000.00 donation from Wal-Mart with the
intent it be used by the Elk River Police Department for National Night Out; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the GtyOmncil of the Gtyof Elk River
to acknowledge the support and commend Wal- Mart for their donation.
Passed and adopted by the Gty Council of the Gty of Elk River this 15th day of August,
2005.
