The funding source is the government building reserve. 2. Salt Storage Building - The following bids were received for a fabric covered salt storage building: o Greystone Construction - Base Bid $ 90,435.00 Alt. #1 - Base bid, plus pre-cast T-panels For retaining walls $137,725.00 Alt. #2 - Base bid, plus cast in place concrete building foundation and retaining walls $159,980.00 o Ebert Construction - Base Bid $122,900.00 Alt. #1 - Base bid, plus pre-cast T-panels for salt retaining walls $168,500.00 Alt. #2 - Base bid, plus cast in place concrete building foundation and retaining walls $230,900.00 A fabric covered structure is not specifically addressed for the 1-1 Zone, so Staff suggests a public hearing before the Planning Commission on Tuesday, August 23,2005 with their recommendation coming before City Council on September 6, 2005. 3. Base and Bituminous Paving at the Public Works Site o Universal Paving o Magnum Co. o Bauerly Co. o Northwest Asphalt $227,480.00 228,420.00 246,281.00 261,035.00 Universal Paving has done several paving jobs for the City recently and all have been satisfactory. Recommendation: Staff recommends that the City Council accept the bid by Universal Paving for $227,480.00 for the aggregate base and bituminous paving for the public works site and compost drop off facility. The funding source is the government building reserve.
