They felt the interview process was important to allow the City Councilmembers to get to know the various commissioners. In addition, the City Council has asked each of the Commissions to provide a list of interview questions that can be utilized by the Council during this interview process. I have prepared the following questions as a starting point for the discussion. Please feel free to add to or change the questions as presented. 1. What is your interest in serving on the Planning Commission? 2. What do you think is the role of the Planning Commission and what is its relationship to the City Council? 3. How familiar are you with either the City's Comprehensive Plan or Land Development Regulations? 4. What do you see as the City's planning challenges for the future? 5. Do you think that the City has transportation problems? If so, and you had no limitations on the solutions, what would be the top two or three transportation priorities that you would solve? 6. Do you think that the City needs improvements in land use planning? If so, what improvements would you recommend to the City Council? S:\PLANNING\Michele McPherson\PLREPRTS\08 02 05 WS Agenda memo.doc
