DISCUSSION:
• In June, the locators processed 675 locate tickets. These consisted of 3 emergency
tickets, 567 normal tickets, 1 non-excavation ticket, 5 boundary surveys, 2 corrections,
68 updated tickets, 13 cancellations, and 16 locate meets. This resulted in a 17.2%
increase in tickets from the previous month and an 5.2% decrease from the prior year.
• Electrical technicians completed 271 service order tasks, updated the power bill,
attended to customer meter issues and off-peak concerns.
• On June 29 & 30, staff worked with Cooper Machinery Services on troubleshooting
Engine #3’s excessive smoking issues. Four fuel injectors had to be replaced with
injectors in our inventory. We will test the remaining 12 fuel injectors as those that
failed are rebuilt. Staff also replaced inspection cover gaskets for Engines #1 & #2.
• Mapping department continues to work on implementing mPower Integrator software.
• The substation apparatus technician identified a loose connection on the A-phase of the
circuit switcher of Waco Bank #1 during his weekly inspection. We were able to get this
connection repaired before it caused any problems. See attached report.
• Some additional grading work was done at the West Substation garage site by Wruck
Excavating to facilitate the drive through loading of equipment.
• Connexus Energy utilized their feeder out of the North Substation on June 5 for about
4.5 hours due to an outage at their Zimmerman substation.
• With the hot weather in early June, we reached a new system peak of 77.2 MW.
