IR Inspection Report IR000453.IS2 6/10/2021 1:00:11 PM Visible Light Image Name Temperature Emissivity Background Centerpoint 180.8°F 0.95 44.6°F 130 ______________________________________________________________________________ Page 1 of 1 UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING TO: ERMU Commission FROM: Dave Ninow – Water Superintendent MEETING DATE: July 13, 2021 AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: 6.1j SUBJECT: Staff Update ACTION REQUESTED: None DISCUSSION: • Delivered 13 new water meters. • Sealed the water meter, installed an encoder receiver transmitter, and took curb stop ties from 11 water services. • Completed 15 BACTI/Total Chlorine Residual Samples o All confirmed negative for Coliform Bacteria. o Bacteriological/Disinfectant Residual Monthly Report submitted to the MDH • Completed 22 routine fluoride samples o All samples met MDH standards. o Submitted MDH Fluoride Report • Submitted Discharge Monitoring Report to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for the Diesel Generation Plant. • With the hot, dry weather, we pumped 169.9 million gallons of water in June. • In conjunction with the current city street improvement projects, a faulty water main valve on Jackson Avenue was replaced. • Water department staff shut down the water main on Twin Lakes Road for connection of the new water main for the Tranquil Meadows development. • Work has started on the annual Water System Leak Detection Survey. • The water mains that cross Highway 10 at Upland Avenue and Proctor Avenue have been partially replaced. The remaining sections at these crossings will be replaced later this summer in the next phase of the Highway 10 rebuild project. • Water Operator Sam France started on June 10; he is a great addition to our team. • Water department staff have been working with city staff for connection to the water system for the Orono Park construction project.
