1. Recognize the promotion of Detective Don Birdsall to the position of Juvenile Detective Sergeant
effective July 20, 2021.
2. Mayor Dietz to administer the oath of office to Detective Don Birdsall.
Background/Discussion
Detective Birdsall was selected for promotion to Sergeant by Chief Nierenhausen to replace Sergeant
Balabon as Juvenile Detective Sergeant following Sgt. Balabon’s appointment to Adult Detective
Sergeant.
Financial Impact
This position is currently budgeted for 2021 and will be paid accordance with the collective bargaining
agreement.
