Mid-Continent Area Power Pool (MAPP) Membership Withdrawal
BACKGROUND:
To meet our requirements for participation in a planning authority, ERMU with other Minnesota
municipal utilities joined in a joint membership in Mid-Continent Area Power Pool (MAPP).
DISCUSSION:
It is no longer needed for ERMU or the other Minnesota municipal utilities to maintain this joint
membership in MAPP. This is due to representation in Midcontinent Independent System
Operator (MISO) through the provisions in power agency and/or all-requirements power
contracts. ERMU has submitted notice for our withdrawal per the provision of our membership
agreement.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends the Commission receive the attached notice for MAPP membership
withdrawal.
