CITY OF ELK RIVER
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE LICENSING
OF REFUSE AND GARBAGE COLLECTORS
The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. That Section 602.00, Subdivision 3.
Definitions is amended to read:
3. "Refuse collector" and "garbage collector" shall mean
any person holding a valid license from the City for the
purpose of collecting or conveyinq refuse and garbage
within the City.
Section 2. That Section 602.08 is amended to read:
602.08 - Licensing of Refuse and Garbage Collectors and
Haulers; Application and Insurance.
1. No person shall engage in the business of garbage or
refuse collection or conveyance in the City unless such
person shall first secure from the City Administrator a
license to do so and pay the license fee herein prescribed.
Section 3. That Section. 602.08, Subdivision 4 is
amended to read:
4. The annual license fee shall be as duly set by the
Council bY resolution from time to time. Such license
shall expire December 31 of each year.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after the date of its publication.
