ORDINANCE - 88 - 4
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 900.20 - GENERAL REGULATIONS,
SUBSECTION 4 - ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Section 900.20 (4) of the City of Elk
River Code of Ordinance titled, "Accessory Buildings" be amended
to read as follows:
c. A detached accessory building not over one (1) story and
not exceeding fourteen (14) feet in height may occupy
not more than thirty percent (30%) of the area of any
side or rear yard, except that a two-stall garage may be
used jointly and solely by the families living in two
(2) adjacent lots and may be built so as to place one
(1) stall on each side of the lot line, provided that
the two (2) stalls are separated by a fire wall. Also,
in A-I and RI-A zoned districts a detached accessory
building may be twenty-one (21) feet in height maximum.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after the date of its publication.
