PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING AGENDA
Tuesday, August 23, 2005
6:30 p.m.
Elk River City Hall
The Planning Commission is an advisory body to the City Council. One of the Commission's functions is to hold public hearings and
make recommendations to the City Council. The City Council makes all final decisions on these matters. Elk River City Ordinances
require that certain documents and information be included in applications. The Planning Commission may postpone consideration
of an application that is incomplete and may, for other reasons, postpone final action on an application. For each item the
Commission will receive reports prepared by the City staff, open the hearing to the public, and discuss and act upon the application.
Those present are asked to turn off all cell phones and pagers.

SUBJECT:
Tabling of Items
As the COnmllssion reads the packet of information for next week's meeting, you will note
that staff's recommendation regarding Heritage Maples is to table the request until the
September 2? regular meeting of the Planning COnmllssion. The COnmllssion should recall
that the September 13th workshop has two significant items on it; a joint meeting with the
Heritage Preservation COnmllssion (HPC) and Housing & Redevelopment Authority (BRA)
regarding downtown, and a neighborhood meeting with residents east of County Road 40.
Neither item can be rescheduled and I anticipate that they will take a significant amount of
time, so no other items should be tabled to the workshop meeting.
