1) Accept, by resolution, a donation from the Elk River Ministerial Association.
2) Discuss and provide staff direction regarding the designated use of the Elk River Ministerial Association
Donation.
Background/Discussion
The Elk River Ministerial Association, an informal, monthly gathering of area pastors and other faith leaders who
began working together during the pandemic for the greater public good of our community. On August 18, 2021,
they held a multi-denominational service and took a collection for donation to the City of Elk River. The
association collected $6,500.
Mayor Dietz would like the Council to discuss a dedicated use for the funds.

A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging
Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS the City of Elk River received a $6,500 donation from the Elk River
Ministerial Association.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Elk River Ministerial Association for his
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
___________ and duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote
