DISCUSSION:
Staff continues to meet with T2 Utility Engineers, WSB Engineering, and MnDOT for the
upcoming Highway 169 Redefine project. Permits have been approved and we are in full
constructionmodeon the electric side of things.We are working with Great River
Energy (GRE), asthey have ninepolesalong the highwaythat need tobemoveor
replaced, and we have three phase lines attached to those poles. All underground lines

Avenue and 193 Avenue. We will be tearingdown
are installed and energized at 197
overhead lines as needed this fall and are currently focusing on the work to be done at
School Street and Main Street.
All poles and wire have been moved for the work on County Road 13and all customers
have been transferred over to the new service line. We are working with New Look
Contracting, Inc. on the timing for moving one three phase riser pole at the corner of
Line Avenue and County Road 13.
Workingwith the owners of the refuse-derived fuel processing plant and GREto make
the transition from GRE’s 69-kilovolt transmission line to ERMU’s distribution grid. Staff
has complete installation of the necessary underground infrastructure for the transition,
which is planned for September 20. The loop feed will be installed later this fall.
Storms during the week of August 23 caused several outages; lighting strikes being the
main source, tree falls were also responsible for two of them.
Staff has been in the process of developing budgets for Capital Projects, which will be
presented at the September commission meeting.
Attended meetings with the County on planning for County Road 33 and County Road
44 projects.
