04-21-1884 TBM ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING April 21, 1884 Proceedings of the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Elk River in the County of Sherburne and State of Minnesota, convened for the transaction of business pertaining to Roads, this Twenty first st (21) day of April A.D. 1884. Board met at the Town Clerk’s office at 1:30 p.m. Present: D.R. Houlton, Chairman. B__ Mabic The petition of Gregor Malkson and others for a new road from a point on the line between Sections 12 and 13 -33-26 to a point on the Elk River and Ca__ Road in Sections 25.-33-26 was presented and the same being found in downtown and signed by the requisite number of free laborers and required by law and being satisfied by the oath of said Gregor Malkson has the same had been posted in (three?) public places of said town as required by law, the same was accepted and rd an order drawn designating Saturday the 3 day of May at 9 o’clock in the forenoon at the Town Clerk’s office as the time when and the place when they would meet for the purpose of hearing any reasons for or against the laying out of said road and for the purpose of personally examining the same. The petition of Wm. H. Eddy and others for a new road from a point on the south __ of the northwest quarter of Sec 11.732.R 26 where it is crossed by the Military Road, thence east to the southmost corner of the northwestquarter of the northwestquarter of sec 12.732, a 26 was presented and the same being found in due form and signed by the requisite number of f__holders and being satisfied by the oath of said Wm H. Eddy that the same had been posted in (three?) public places of said town as required by law. The same was accepted and an order drawn designating Saturday the rd 3 day of May at 9 o’clock in the forenoon at the town clerk’s office at the time when and the place when they would meet for the purpose of hearing all reasons for or against the laying out of said road and to examine the same personally. The Town Clerk was directed to cause copies of the aforesaid motions to be posted in the (three?) public places of the town. Board adjourned SE Atkins Town Clerk
