05-17-1884 TBM ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING May 17, 1884 Proceedings of the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Elk River in the County of Sherburne and State of Minnesota, convened for the transaction of business pertaining to Roads, this seventeenth (17th) day of May A.D. 1884. Supervisors met at the Town Clerk’s office at 9 a.m.. Present: D.R. Houlton, Chairman. B.F Mabic, Supervisors Malkson Road laid out The Malkson road matter was taken up and the matter of damages in laying out said road considered. Mr. John Blocker approved and signed a Release of Damages for the right of way for said road across land owned by him. Board adjourned to 1:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m. Order seconded at pages of this book Board met pursuant to adjournment. Present: D.R. Houlton and B.F. Mabic The “Road Order” and “Award of Damages” for Malkson Road were signed at said “Road Order” “Award of Damages” and all papers in connection with the road were filed with the Town Clerk. Eddy petition The Road petition of Wm Eddy and others for a new road in Town 32 Ranger 26 was taken up pursuant to the Notice of Hearing duly posted and to appointment duly taken at last meeting and on motion the p_ay__ of the said petition was rejected and so endorsed on the back of the same and said petition so endorsed together with the Notice of Hearing was filed with the Town Clerk. The following resolution was introduced and on motion adopted Resolution Resolved, that a committee of two be appointed consisting of D.R. Houlton and B.F. Mabic who an authorized to him a man to or led a contract for filling in the approaches to the Trott Brook bridge in accordance with the resolution passed at the meeting of the Board May 3.
