12-04-1893 TBM ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING December 4, 1893 (written in margin) See Page 217 for Order etc. Filed Dec 16, 1893 and recorded Jan 19, 1894 Supervisors met at 2:30 p.m. Full Board present. The petition of D.R. Houlton and others for a new road was presented. Said new road as described in said petition reads as follows: Beginning on the south line of section eight in township thirty-three of r__ twenty-six at a point where said section is crossed by the Keasling and Elk River County Road, so called as now located and traveled. Thence in a northeasterly direction as nearly as practicable for a road, to the south east corner of the south west quarter of the south west quarter of __ four same town and ___ aforesaid. Upon examination the petition was found in due form and it appearing to the Board by affidavit of D.R. Houlton attached thereto that copies of said petition had been pasted in three public places of said town as provided by law, for at least 20 days prior hereto. On motion it was voted that December 16, 1893 at ten o’clock a.m. at the court house in the village of Elk River be fixed upon as the time when and the place where this Board will meet for the purpose of viewing the route proposed for said new road and for hearing all reasons for and against the same. Notices of hearing in due form were duly made and signed by all the members of the Board. The petition of D.R. Houlton and others for a new road was presented. Said new road as described in said petition runs as follows: Beginning on south line of section f__(four?) in township thirty- three of range twenty-six at a point where said section line is crossed by the Keasling and Elk River County Road, so called, as now tra__ed. Thence, in an easterly direction along the ___tion lines between sections f__ and eight and four and nine and three and two as near as practicable for a road to intersect with the Princeton and Elk River County road at a point where said road crosses the south line of section three, same town and ra__ aforesaid. Upon examination the petition was found in due form, and in appearing to the Board by affidavit of D.R. Houlton, attached hereto. That copies of said petition, had been posted in three public places by said town as provided by law, for at least 20 days prior hereto. On motion it was voted that December 16, 1893 at ten o’clock a.m. at the court house in the Village of Elk River be fixed as the time when and the place where this Board will meet for the purpose of viewing the route proposed for said new road, and for hearing all reasons for and against the same. Notices of hearing in due form were made and signed by all the members of the Board. On motion adjourned to December 16, 1983 at Sheriff’s office at court house.
