Background/Discussion
Municipal consent on the attached layout of improvements for 169 Redefine was approved on September 8, 2020.
Since that time, the project has moved through the final design process. Three years of construction will begin in
April of 2022 to complete all necessary work. We will present a virtual flyover of the proposed corridor at the
meeting.
Our focus now and through April 2022 is to approve final cooperative agreement with MnDOT, communicate the
impacts of the final improvements, and detail anticipated disruptions for the upcoming year. We will be hosting an
open house on October 11 to begin this communication process.
Financial Impact
While the final agreement and bid numbers are yet to be finalized, the local cost obligations towards the 169
Redefine is estimated at $3 million, consistent with the current Capital Improvement Plan estimate.
