DISCUSSION:
Great River Energy hosted its annual SCADA user group virtually this year, there are new
features rolling out to help with more efficient alarming and more trending features.
I attended my third session of Minnesota Municipal Utilities Association’s Leadership
Academy. The course is taught by Kent Myers. There is a lot of very useful information
covered, as well as a lot of good contacts made withother municipal utilities in the area.
I have been assisting with meter programming, recloser control replacements, and
preliminary layouts for a future substation near the old refuse-derived fuel facility.
The IT/OT technician has been working with vendors to make sure that we are ordering
IT equipment for the new Field Services Facility early enough to avoid any shipping
delays.
