DISCUSSION:
I attended the Minnesota Power Systems Conference (MIPSYCON) virtually during the
week of November 1. There weresessions on distribution automation, distribution
design, metering, and substations that were very informative.
Staff has been assisting with some distribution equipment testing, and recloser control
replacements. We have also had a few discussions with city staff to plan for a future
substation near Highway 10. Theirstaff has been very helpful in findinga solution that
works well for both the City and ERMU.
The IT/OT Technician is continuing to work with vendors to make sure that we are
ordering IT equipment for the new Field Services Facility early enough to avoidshipping
delays. He is also working with city staff on phone system upgrades and investigating
network security vendors.
