Mission/Policy/Goal
Support Elk River's existing businesses through relationship building, programmatic offerings, and high-quality city
services. Attract new business development to Elk River to build the City's economic vibrancy, job offerings and
tax base.

General Updates November 15, 2021 EDA Meeting
Harvest Hills Building—The potential buyer and user has requested more information regarding utilities
and building investments.We have discussed the Energy Incentive Program with the Joint Finance
Committee and will be bringing forward potential updates to that program at the next meeting.
Project Singularity—This is the large precision manufacturing company considering the County's data
center sight. We have responded with additional information upon learning it was one of four sites under
further evaluation in Minnesota.
Nature's Edge—The plans with the Cargill land swap and extension of 168`b Circle continue to move
forward. Approximately 30 acres will be made available through this project when the road is completed
in 2022.
SourceLink—The company is setting up a demo and training session for us shortly.
Real Estate Expo—Staff attended the MnCAR expo on October 27.
Real Estate Services—We received three responses and are coordinating next steps to bring a
recommendation to the EDA.
Jackson Hills II—The TIF is schedule for review by the Joint Finance Committee on November 30.
Economic Development Specialist—We are working through the process of updating the job description
and requirements.
Committee Vacancies—There is a vacancy on the Beautification Committee as well as one on the Joint
Finance Committee.
