1. Call Meeting to Order
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the EDA Beautification Committee
was called to order at 10:04 a.m.
Introductions: the committee introduced themselves as there is one new member.
2. Consider Agenda
Motion by Ann and seconded by Melissa to approve the agenda. Motion carried 6-0.
3.0 Consent Agenda
Motion by Melissa and seconded by Ann to approve the consent agenda. Motion
carried 6-0.
4.1 Potential Businesses and Marketing Plan
Colleen presented the staff report. Melissa presented the branding flyer she created. The
group had some revisions. Melissa will update the flyer and resend to the group for final
review. The flyer will be sent out and will distributed in various venues and will be posted on
social media sites. Melissa will create a “Best of” sticker that winners will be able to post in
their businesses.

Motion by Rhonda and seconded by Melissa to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 a.m.
Motion carried 6-0.

Background/Discussion
Items to be discussed include potential nominations for the beautification program award and distribution of
Melissia McApline’s marketing material, which was discussed at the July 12, 2021, Beautification Committee
meeting.
As a reminder, the program seeks to recognize commercial/industrial site improvements,
commercial/industrial upgrades, landscapes, renovations, restorations, and new structures that are
architecturally noteworthy.
Mission/Policy/Goal
The Beautification Committee is a subcommittee under the EDA.
